Complete cable routing systems
No matter your needs, at Bels Europe you can find the right technical solution that is both versatile and flexible. The purpose of cable routes is to ensure cables are not damaged during installation or operation. A cable routing system is the optimal solution when establishing cable paths in an installation. All our products comply with the applicable standards in the field.
Fastening
When preparing for cable routing installation, several factors must be considered - especially what the fastening will be attached to, whether it is concrete, drywall, or other materials, and whether the fastening is indoors or exposed to weather.
Fastening in concrete and other hard materials requires drilling with a suitable drill and drill bit, while outdoor fastening requires weather resistance.
Cable trays
OBO Bettermann, :hager, Fix-Pro and Solar all guarentee you a neetly looking result that is easy to maintain or expand. Many cables trays have rolled edges on the vertical sides. This ensures stability and protects the cables during installation. The hand- and cable-friendly rolled edge is also used when the cable tray is attached to brackets. The sidewalls have holes for mounting fittings. Cable trays are available in various widths and heights.

Electrician pipes, steel pipes, and flexible pipes
In Bels Europe’s assortment, you find all necessary pipes and equipment for supply cables. For visible installations, many prefer rigid plastic pipes for aesthetic reasons. For concealed installations, many prefer cable conduits, as they are easier to adapt during descents. Additionally, cable conduits reduce waste and joints.

Routing for any electrical installment
The demand for installations for electricity, IT, computers, telephone, TV, and radio is increasing. Both outdoor and indoor cable routes require careful planning. Sometimes, parts of old installations must be renewed to meet current safety standards.
Outdoor routing and cableling
If electrical cables are routed on the outside of the facade, it may be advisable to relocate them indoors. Cables can detract from the building’s appearance and hinder outdoor maintenance. Therefore, cables should be routed as discreetly as possible in relation to the building’s details. Outdoor routing paths can be placed inside pipes along architectural features like cornices, plinths, pilasters, or behind downpipes.
Indoor routing
Indoor installations can be routed in pipes behind panels or ceiling moldings in new lightweight partitions, behind wall cladding, in joist spaces, under floorboards, or above unused ceilings. Electrician pipes can be recessed into masonry. Flexible pipes are advantageous where the installation must bypass heritage structures or details.
Visible routing
In raw and simple interiors, cable channels can be installed so that both power and data cables are gathered in a single conduit on the wall. The advantage is no structural intervention, and channels can be easily removed if needed. Channels can be mounted directly on walls or integrated into furniture.
Concealed routing
Data cables, along with other electrical cables, can be routed under floors. Cables can be placed in a cable duct with shielding for data cables. If the floor is traditional wooden boards, you can lift the board along the window wall and route cables underneath. If boards rest on joists, there is room for cables. If not, you can notch the joists for longitudinal routing. Notching must be limited to the quarter of the joist nearest the wall and requires an expert calculation to ensure load-bearing capacity is not compromised.
