Who is Lauritz Knudsen?

Lauritz Knudsen is a company that has been producing electrical goods for over 100 years. The company started with watch production in 1893, and soon transitioned to electrical products such as irons, stoves, loudspeakers and many other consumer goods. However, over time, the focus was on basic electrical installations such as sockets, fuse boards, etc.

The company is today known as LK and is headquartered in Ballerup, while the actual production takes place at a factory in Ringsted. LK has always been known for producing high-quality electrical goods for the Danish market. Sockets and other electrical installations in homes and other buildings are most likely from LK, which has had a share of 60% of the Danish market with good reason right up until 2008. The company has undergone several company mergers and is today part of French Schneider Electric under the name Lauritz Knudsen by Schneider Electric.
