Group boards & meter boards
All buildings and homes have a switchboard that aims to distribute power to the different rooms in your home. A switchboard serves as the node for the power supply in your home, and is thus the direct link between the electricity supply and the rest of your home, from where the power is distributed in a safe and responsible manner.
Large selection of boards
On this page you will find a large selection of panel panels from a number of well-known and leading manufacturers, as well as accessories for this. Our selection offers

It is also possible to buy ready-made switchboards with HPFI circuit breakers and automatic fuses, which are ready for installation and installation in your home, your holiday home or any other building that needs an electrical panel to distribute the power.
Safe distribution of power to your home with a switchboard
Among other things, a switchboard aims to ensure that no components or electrical installations in the home overheat by preventing overloads and short circuits. In addition to distributing the power safely to your home, an electrical panel also allows you to directly cut off the power to all or parts of your home if you need this. This is not uncommon if, for example, you are in the process of installing light sources or the like, where there is a risk of getting shocks. Although it is often easy to understand whether an outlet is on or off, uncertainty can still arise if, for example, you have just moved into a new home where you need to have lamps installed. And here it is just best to be on the safe side. By cutting off the power to the room where the installation will be made, you can safely disconnect the wires from a lamp to the outlet on the ceiling, without getting hurt.
What are the rules for groupboards?
As with all other types of electrical installations, a number of rules follow in connection with the installation of electrical panels. For example, there are a number of requirements for where and how an electrical panel should be installed, as well as how many groups it should contain, depending on the size of your home. In addition, it is also extremely important that the panel is installed by an authorized electrical installer. This applies regardless of whether you buy a finished or an empty group board. The same also applies if you need to move your electrical panel from one room to another, for example if the room where the panel has previously been needs to change function.
How should a switchboard be placed?
First and foremost, as a starting point, at least one switchboard must always be installed for each home. In the vast majority of cases, the panel must be installed inside the home itself (but never in a bathroom or in other wet rooms), but there are also boards that are suitable for installation outdoors. In addition, there are a number of other rules for the placement of an electrical panel:
- The electrical panel must be located in a place where it is always easily accessible.
- It must therefore not be placed higher than 2.2 meters, nor must there be anything in front of the board that makes it difficult to access.
- The board may be placed in a cabinet, but only if it is placed at the very front of the door, so there is easy and quick access to it, and not deep inside the cabinet.
- It is also a requirement that there is clear marking of the different groups on the board, so that there is no doubt about which areas or spaces the individual groups supply.
Finally, there are also requirements for the number of groups on an electrical panel:
- There must be at least one group for every 50 sqm. in a home.
- However, a minimum of two groups for each home, as there is a requirement that the kitchen has a separate group attached.
- This means that in homes of up to 100 sqm. there is a requirement that the board has two groups, while homes of between 100 and 150 sqm. must have a minimum of 3 groups and so on.
