A wide color map
The year was 1889. The location downtown Esbjerg. Here A. Lykke Thomsen founded his paint & varnish factory, which you may know today as EFAPaint A/S. The manufacture of special floor lacquer and bone wax later moved down to Esbjerg Harbour, but remained in the hands of the sons until 1937.
In the 1960s, new ideas were given to the range, and primarily the agricultural machinery industry was in their sights. And why exactly that one? Well, the management saw the potential in gathering all the original colours of the powerful machines under one roof. The company quickly took the lead in tractor pulling when it comes to touch-up coatings and industrial paint systems.

They also got the brushes in when they in 2007 headed to Hornbæk and bought a full product series for your DIY projects, including terrace cleaning, rattan cleaning as well as cleaning and surface treatment of composite.
Wet varnishes for lamp production
The PH5 and the artichoke are true design classics, but did you know that Louis Poulsen (https://bels.dk/da/lys/spot-lamper/udendorslamper/louis-poulsen-udendorslamper) uses EFAPaint wet lacquer for these? It can be used as the sole paint or combined with powder paint. In addition to the beautiful exterior, the lamps are known for their pleasant light dispersion. This is due, among other things, to the white tint given inside. Louis Poulsen Lighting has with the help of the Estonian paint development company created top-class surface treatment.
