Recessed spotlights – modern integrated led lighting

We offer a wide range of recessed lighting solutions for indoor use and outdoor ground spotlights. Create elegant deck lighting in your garden or illuminate driveways with stainless steel ground spotlights. For example, see the decklight kit led with four 0.5w warm white led downlights and an 80 degree beam angle.

The beam angle indicates how wide the light spreads. A higher degree means wider distribution. Consider whether you want focused or broader illumination when planning placement.

For wooden terraces and outdoor decking areas, stainless steel deck spotlights combine decorative design with energy-efficient performance. For indoor installations, we supply adjustable recessed spots such as blue dl spot models. Remember to add a compatible sealing ring when required.

Important lighting terms – ra, lumen, kelvin and lux

Lighting serves both practical and decorative purposes. The right light improves comfort, safety and productivity in homes, workplaces and educational environments.

Below are key terms to consider when choosing lighting:

Kelvin

Kelvin describes colour temperature, meaning whether the light appears warm or cool. It does not indicate brightness. Warm white light typically ranges around 2700k, while neutral white is around 3000k. Daylight can range between 5000k and 7000k. For kitchens, 2700k is often preferred for warm zones, while 3000k suits task lighting areas.

Ra value

Ra indicates colour rendering ability. The closer to 100, the more accurately colours are displayed. For most environments, Ra should be at least 80. Higher Ra values are important in retail, workplaces and areas requiring visual precision.

Hard or soft light

Soft light reduces harsh shadows and is suitable for general and task lighting. Hard light creates stronger contrasts and can add atmosphere but should not cause glare.

Lumen

Lumen measures the total amount of light emitted. A traditional 40 watt bulb corresponds to approximately 470 lumens, while a 60 watt bulb equals around 800 lumens.

Lux

Lux measures illumination intensity on a surface and is calculated as lumens per square metre. Workspaces typically require around 500 lux, while classrooms require around 200 lux. Lumen refers to total light output from the source. Lux indicates how much of that light reaches a specific area.

Understanding these values helps you select lighting that balances aesthetics, comfort and functionality.
