Installation of backdraft dampers
The backdraft damper must be installed correctly in relation to airflow direction and duct type. Lindab DOSU can be installed vertically or horizontally. Lindab CAR is equipped with springs partly for installation in ventilation ducts and partly to ensure that the damper closes automatically when the fan stops. It is lightly pressed into place in the duct or roof penetration, however in some cases additional safety mounting is required to ensure that the damper remains in the correct position.
