Icopal Pipe Cuffs is a complete accessory program consisting of self-adhesive cuffs for cable and pipe penetrations up to Ø170 mm.
The cuffs ensure that penetrations in vapour barriers can be made airtight so that the general requirements for airtightness can be met. Icopal Pipe Cuffs consist of an age-resistant and flexible EPDM cuff that is glued to a polyethylene flange coated with acrylic adhesive. The cuffs can be used down to -5 ºC. Temperature resistance: -30 ºC to 90 ºC. Full adhesive strength is achieved after 24 hours.
Application:
•Icopal Pipe Cuffs is a complete accessory range of self-adhesive cuffs for all cable and pipe penetrations up to Ø170 mm.
Structure:
•Ageing-resistant and flexible EPDM cuff attached to a polyethylene flange coated with acrylic adhesive and applied to siliconized release paper.
Assembly:
•Icopal Tube cuffs are applied to clean, dry and grease-free surfaces.
•Remove the slip paper from the back of the flange. The wire is passed through the cuff. The adhesive flange is then pressed firmly onto the vapour barrier.
•On 230 x 230 mm adhesive flanges, the slip foil is two-piece. The smallest slip paper is first removed and the cuff is passed over the tube.
•The adhesive flange is fixed on the vapour barrier, then the rest of the slip paper is removed and the entire flange is firmly pressed.
•The cuffs are coated with talc to ensure easy passage of cables and pipes. If necessary, extra talc can be applied from the enclosed bag.
