Use
Sanpress INOX with SC-Contur
The current corrosion standard DIN EN 12502-4 states that the resistance of stainless steels, especially to chloride, increases with an increasing molybdenum content (page 6, 5.2.2 Influence of material properties).
Therefore, Viega only uses material 1.4401 and 1.4404, which according to DIN EN 10088-2 must have a molybdenum content of at least 2.0%. However, Viega only uses pipes and fittings with a molybdenum content between 2,31 and 2,34 %.
With a molybdenum content of 2.31-2.34%, Sanpress INOX is clearly above the standard requirements and is the German market leader in this respect. For most providers, for economic reasons, content is still limited to around 2.0%.
Sanpress INOX is VA-approved for 250 mg/l chloride.
