Use
The combination of stainless steel pipes and redware fittings is a very strong and ideal solution for both cold and domestic hot water. Sanpress fittings are approved for 250 mg/l chloride and tested up to 600 mg/l chloride.
The redware alloy is in the tension range very close to the various brass alloys used in domestic water installations and thus acts as a neutralizer. This means that when redware fittings are combined with other brass alloys, such as, for example, ball taps, circulation valves, bottom taps etc. there is less risk of stress corrosion than when using stainless fittings that are higher up in the voltage range. The risk of fissure corrosion in redware fittings and microbial corrosion attack formed by sulfate-reducing bacteria is also minimal.
Sanpress is the market's widest range of press fittings and is supplied in the dimenions: 12-15-18-22-28-35-42-54-76,1-88,9-108 mm.
